New 180ltr Orange bin
A new 180ltr Orange bin will shortly be delivered to all households in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire and information about new 3 week service.
This is to allow for the separation of the current recycling materials collected to improve recycling quality and increase recycling capacity.
The new orange lidded recycling bin will be for:
- Plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays
- Metal tins, cans, aerosols, foil trays and foil
- Food and drink cartons
The new service starts on 25th of March 2024 and from that date your blue lidded bin will be for paper, card and cardboard ONLY and orange bin will be for containers ONLY.
When will this happen?
Your new orange lidded bin will be delivered over a five-week period starting w/c 8th of January and the new 3-week service starts from w/c 25th of March.
Your last collection of fully mixed recycling in your blue lidded bin will take place either w/c 11th of March or 18th of March depending on your collection cycle.
