Help shape the future of public toilets in Aberdeenshire.
Aberdeenshire Council is asking residents, visitors and local businesses to share their views on the future of public toilets across the region.
A short survey is now open until July 11, asking for feedback on the number of public toilets, opening hours, how theyβre maintained and whether the public would consider paying a small fee to help keep them open.
While thereβs no legal obligation for local authorities to provide public conveniences, the council recognises how important they are to everyday life.
From supporting families and people with health needs, to making our towns more welcoming for tourists and locals alike, public toilets help everyone feel more comfortable when out and about.
We are planning a display gif the above anniversary the anniversary is the 15th August and like the VE DAY 80 display it will be on show for about a week.
This time I would like to remember local men who served in the far east, women and children who were caught up in this theatre of war. So can I please ask for names of those who served, whether they died or survived so that we can remember them. Also I would like to know of any women and children who were interred in camps from Singapore, Malaysia, Burma and China. There were many women and children caught up n the war with the Japanese, they were mainly from expat families and Missionaries. We are keen to have your stories please .
You can share them on my Facebook Book
