Festive recycling and refuse collections and Household recycling centres across Aberdeenshire

Festive recycling and refuse collections are as follows:

Collections due on Mon 25 Dec will be made on Fri 29 Dec.
Collections due on Tue 26 Dec will be made on Sat 30 Dec.
Collections due on Mon 1 Jan will be made on Fri 5 Jan.
Collections due on Tue 2 Jan will be made on Saturday 6 January.

The festive period can lead to excess waste and that’s why it’s important to keep in mind how to reduce, reuse, and recycle. That includes making good use of your green caddy for all food waste.

Remember, peelings and bones can go into food waste too.

Aberdeenshire Recycling and Waste department hard-working waste collection teams are focused on providing a great service but, inevitably, people will be inconvenienced in the winter season as temperatures drop.

If at any point your bin is not emptied over the festive period, we will empty your bin along with any excess waste you gathered during the next scheduled collection for that bin.
