Additionally, temporary traffic lights will be in operation on Friday 3rd October between 6.30am and 3.30pm.

The following diversion routes will be in place each night during the road closures.

Vehicles travelling north on the A90 can leave the A90 at Ellon on the A948 and travel north to New Deer. At New Deer traffic continues north onto the A981 towards Strichen/Fraserburgh/New Pitsligo before reaching the A981’s junction with the A950.

Vehicles travelling south on the A90 can join the A950 at Peterhead and follow the above route in reverse. From Peterhead there will be local access on the A90 south to the Pitlurg junction. Please be aware that there will be no access to the A952 at Toll of Birness.

The diversion route will require 22 minutes additional journey time.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
