SBP Accountants & Business Advisers (SBP), a leading north-east accountancy firm, is delighted to announce that Sophie Daniel has won the prestigious Rising Star award at the 2026 Finance & Accountancy Business (FAB) Awards, held at Union Kirk on 21 May. 

The FAB Awards celebrate excellence across the finance, accountancy and tax professions in north-east Scotland, recognising individuals and organisations that demonstrate exceptional standards, expertise and professional achievement. The Rising Star category honours emerging talent within the profession who have shown outstanding progress, dedication and leadership potential. 

With more than 12 years of experience, Sophie Daniel has built a strong reputation in tax planning, financial reporting and business advisory services. Since joining SBP with no prior accounting experience, she has progressed through the firm to achieve Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant status in 2024.  

Sophie has played a key role in driving innovation across the business, including leading the transition to cloud-based accounting systems, while also mentoring colleagues and supporting staff development across SBP’s four offices. Known for her proactive and client-focused approach, she continues to deliver trusted advice and strong results for clients.
