Peterhead Lido Beach – Excellent 2025

Peterhead Lido beach have been named as among the best 50 in Scotland.

Scotland’s bathing water season began on 1st June and 2025 is the 10th anniversary of the first samples taken under the revised Bathing Water Directive, which introduced tougher water quality standards and clearer public information.

Environment agency SEPA have released their gradings for the water quality at a total of 89 beaches across the country to coincide with the start of Scotland’s bathing water season, with beaches at Peterhead Lido Beach, Fraserburgh (Philorth), Balmedie and Aberdeen getting top marks.
