Stagecoach is once again offering free travel across its bus services in Scotland to eligible serving military personnel, veterans and cadets on Remembrance Sunday, 8 November, and Remembrance Day, Wednesday 11 November.
The initiative gives members of the Armed Forces community the opportunity to travel free of charge as they attend local remembrance services and events, honouring those who have served and sacrificed for their country.
The offer is available to serving military personnel wearing uniform or carrying valid military identification, cadets wearing uniform, and veterans wearing their medals or a Veterans Badge.
Fiona Doherty, Regional Director for Stagecoach in Scotland, said:
“Remembrance is an important opportunity for communities across Scotland to come together, reflect and pay tribute to all those who have served, and those whose lives have been affected by conflict.
“We’re proud to continue offering free travel to serving personnel, veterans and cadets as they take part in commemorations across the country. Alongside this, our depots will lay wreaths at local remembrance services as a mark of our respect and gratitude.”
Stagecoach has been a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant since March 2015 and holds Gold status under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.
