Discover Buchan’s History at this event organised by The Family History Society of Buchan and RAF Peterhead Museum & Heritage Society SCIO and Buchanhaven Heritage Society and Community Centre.

In the last few months, we at RAF Peterhead Heritage Museum & Heritage Society (RPM&HS) have been amazed by how much history is out there locally in relation to our local airfield and Peterhead during WW2. So many folk came from all over the free world to work at the local airfield just in the way so many local folk went to serve in the UK and overseas with Royal Air Force.

In conjunction with Buchanhaven Heritage Society and The Family History Society of Buchan we are holding a local history weekend on 23/24 May in an attempt to uncover more local history. If you have and stories, memories, recollections or items you wish to share or pass on, please come along on see us all at the Buchanhaven Heritage Society Community Centre.

Come along and see us all, have a blether, talk history and refresh some long forgotten memories.
