MSP Urges Local Producers to Apply for Funding
Karen Adam MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Banffshire and Buchan Coast, is encouraging local food and drink producers to apply for funding from the SNP Government’s Regional Food Fund.
The Regional Food Fund has made £100,000 available for businesses and groups who are undertaking projects to promote regional products and open new markets.
The fund has so far supported a variety of projects across Scotland and is an excellent opportunity for local businesses, producers, and community groups across the North East to showcase the best food and drink products in our region.
Commenting, Karen Adam, who sits on the Scottish Parliament’s Rural Affairs and Islands Committee and is the Convenor of the Cross-Party Group on Fisheries and Coastal Communities, said:
“This fund offers a tremendous chance for our Aberdeenshire and Moray producers, businesses, and community groups to receive the assistance they require in order to showcase their exceptional local offerings.
“Scotland’s food and beverage industry is a massive, multi-billion-pound sector, and this fund is designed to ensure that our local producers can fully tap into national supply networks and promote their products nationwide.
“I wholeheartedly urge all our local producers in Banffshire and Buchan Coast, as well as throughout the wider North East, to take advantage of this fund by submitting their applications before the upcoming November 24th deadline. The demand for local products is robust, and this support is a vital step in transforming that demand into reality.
“As ever, if my office can be of any assistance, please get in touch.”
