Police Scotland is appealing for information following a fatal crash which happened in Peterhead.
Around 9am on Monday, 3 March, 2025, officers were made aware of the collision involving a pedestrian and a white Nissan X Trail on Queen Street at its junction with King Street.
The pedestrian, a 61-year-old man, was taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment, where he died on Saturday, 8 March, 2025.
His next of kin are aware and he can be named as John Bannon from the Peterhead area.
Enquiries are continuing to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Sergeant Eoin Maxwell said: “Our thoughts are with the family of Mr Bannon and everyone involved at this very difficult time.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to please contact officers. In addition, we would appeal to anyone who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage which may assist to come forward.”
