Aberdeenshire North and Moray East MP Seamus Logan has paid a visit to Peterhead Prison Museum to discuss tourism issues.
Mr Logan was joined by Peterhead South and Cruden councillor Stephen Smith and met with Public Relations Manager Alex Geddes for a discussion on the popular attractions plans for the future and tourism in the North-east in general.
Commenting afterwards, Seamus Logan MP said:
“I was pleased to be able to visit this popular tourist attraction which helps draw visitors into the North-east corner.
“Alex and the team here do a wonderful job in bringing alive the history of the old prison, whilst also utilising it for filming purposes and experience days. I wish them continued success going forward.”
Alex Geddes, Public Relations Manager for Peterhead Prison Museum said:
“It was nice to see our new MP Seamus Logan and local councillor Stephen Smith pop in for a visit and to stop off at our Refuge Cafe. This was a welcome visit, and more so at the early stage of change in the UK Government.
“Taking the time to listen about all things tourism was a welcome break and it was heartening to see that our thoughts were mirrored. I look forward to seeing the next steps for tourism development in the North-east.”
