Local business Simpsons at Happy Plant in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire has raised almost £2,000 for local charities through its annual festive fundraising.
Local business Simpsons at Happy Plant in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire has raised almost £2,000 for local charities through its annual festive fundraising.
The garden centre located in Mintlaw collected donations for Cash for Kids North-East Scotland and Scottish Charity Air Ambulance SCAA through buckets in their Santa grotto and signing reindeer displays as well as during their festive shopping evening in November.
Simpsons, who support local charities throughout the year were delighted to donate to these two vital local charities.
Kerri Penny from the garden centre team had the privilege of visiting the Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) at their Aberdeen base in Dyce to learn more about their daily life-saving efforts, where it’s hoped the donated of over £450 will go towards supporting their Operation Skyward campaign – an exciting development that will bring a new, larger aircraft to the Aberdeen base later this year.
And the garden centre recently welcomed Jamie Smith from Cash for Kids North-East Scotland, who collected a donation for over £1,500 which will be used to support children and families in the local area.
Siobhan MacBean, Marketing Manager at Simpsons said: “We were delighted to be able to support these two vital local charities, who play such an important role in our community. A huge thanks must go to our fabulous customers who generously donated across the festive season. We look forward to supporting more local charities in 2025”.
