Remembrance Day Display at Allandale House won 1st place
Tams Remembrance Day Display at Allandale House Scarecrow Display has won 1st place
8th of October – Tam who is a service user at Allandale House started to put his “Gunner Allandale” display for Remembrance Day out for everyone to see!
It’s not completely finished yet but, you will agree, he has done a truly amazing job!
Everything in this display has been made by hand! The planes were all made from pallets by Tam, the solider and old man were made by Tam using Straw and the poppies were all hand knitted and donated!
The story behind Tams display is, an old man looking back at his younger self during the war!
Today 7th of November Tams Remembrance Day Scarecrow Display has won 1st place in the Buchanhaven School Parent Council competition
His prize was £100 cash! Tam was delighted to have won and wanted to donated his cash prize to a charity that is very close to his heart!
The British Legion Poppy Appeal
He went over to Morrisons to see the gentleman who has been selling poppy’s in the shop to raise money on behalf of The British legion Poppy Appeal. Tam was honoured to hand over the £100 to him!
On behalf of Tam I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who voted for him!
Keep an eye out for his next display, which will take pride of place at the front of Allandale in the next couple of weeks!
