Today Incident at Peterhead offshore supply base
Today incident at Peterhead on offshore base called the presence of all emergency services
Emergency services were called to the site in the Burnhaven area at about 11:00
The man was taken to ARI (the injured man was a third-party contractor) and four others were treated at the scene.
South Base has been evacuated, after the explosion, a silo with of calcium chloride brine – a non-toxic chemical.
The public are asked to avoid the area.
