The lighthouse was established in 1827 by Robert Stevenson.
Lighthouse height 35 meters the Buchan Ness Lighthouse is located on the next to the village of Boddam, south of Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
It was finally automated in 1988 and the keeper’s cottages were sold.
