Popular Boddam Lighthouse 35 metres

Boddam Lighthouse also known as Buchan Ness or Buchanness Lighthouse.

The lighthouse was established in 1827 by Robert Stevenson.

White tower 35 metres high with red bands (hand painted on tower 1907) There are 166 steps to top of tower.

It was finally automated in 1988 and the keepers cottages were sold.

Approximately 3 miles from Peterhead.
